Engr. Md. Abdul Khaleque

Engr. Md. Abdul Khaleque was born in Chapai Nawabganj in the year 1963. He has completed his B.Sc. engineering degree from RUET on the years 1980 -1984. After his completing Graduation, he joined in BSCIC as Assistant Engineer in 1987. After joining in BSCIC, he has completed his Post Graduate in Industrial Management (PGDIM) from BIM with first class first in the year 1993-94. He has passed 8 years in BSCIC head Quarter and appointed higher post as an associated faculty Member at SCICT (Basic Training Institute) in 1995. At last, he working as a Vice Principle (SCIRI) and chief Engineer of civil Engineering Division of BSCIC. He traveled abroad India, Australia and Saudi Arabia. During his pretty long career he has achieved so may award and reward.

He is one of the members of the “institution of Engineers, Bangladesh” (IEB) and member of “Bangladesh Society for Training & Development” (BSTD). Lt Col Mustafizur Rahman (Retd)

Lt Col Mustafizur Rahman (Retd) is currently the Director (Operation) and Chief Engineer of Fortress Holdings Ltd. & Fortress Real Estate Ltd. With his technical acumen and vast experience, he is the epitome of excellence and dependability. He joined the Bangladesh Army in 1986. He did his Bachelorette in Science from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Civil Engineering in 1999. He did his Masters in Defense Studies from Defence Services Command and Staff College in 2001. He’s currently doing his PhD in Environmental Sustainability.

He began his career as a Captain in 1992 with a challenging Demining project in the Gulf War as the Second in Command of an Engineering Demining Company. He played a pivotal role in the incorporation of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) into the mainstream economy by leading road infrastructure projects. His notable projects include Bagerhat to Sajek Hilly Road Construction. He was involved with several national level projects such as the Banani – Airport – Mirpur Multihead Flyover and Cox’s Bazar Marine Drive. He has made remarkable contributions to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) by constructing a number of Border Observation Posts (BOP) during his service in BGB from 2012 to 2015. He supervised the rehabilitation project of Malupara in Jashore after the Parliamentary Election of 2014. In his second UN Peacekeeping Mission, as Commanding Officer of an Engineering Contingent in Mali, he led a number of road construction projects and airfields in the Sahel region of the Desert of Sahara. He also led several construction projects in Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) at Mirpur Cantonment.

He emphasizes the significance of sustainability in any project. Any project undertaken today should ideally last for years to come, and in that duration, it has to be conducive to ecological balance, instead of tampering with it. Being on par with global standards, he reflects concerns over the environmental impact as well as durability of any plan, and his work and endeavors reflect the same.

Land is one of the scarcest resources in this densely populated country, and he recognizes the deep affiliation and ownership associated with it.
