Engr. Md. Abdul Khaleque, Director, Fortress Real Estate ltd.

Engr. Md. Abdul Khaleque was born in Chapai Nawabganj in the year 1963. He completed his B.Sc. in Engineering degree from RUET between 1980 and 1984. After completing his Graduation, he joined BSCIC as an Assistant Engineer in 1987. After joining BSCIC, he completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM) from BIM with a first-class distinction in the year 1993-94. He spent 8 years at the BSCIC headquarters and was appointed to a higher post as an associate faculty Member at SCICT (Basic Training Institute) in 1995. At last, he is working as a Vice Principal (SCIRI) and Chief Engineer of the Civil Engineering Division of BSCIC. He travelled abroad to India, Australia and Saudi Arabia
Arabia. Throughout his long career, he has received numerous awards and accolades.

He is one of the members of the “Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh” (IEB) and a member of “Bangladesh Society for Training & Development” (BSTD).

Lt Col Mustafizur Rahman (Retd), Director, (Operation and Chief Engineer)

Lt Col Mustafizur Rahman (Retd) is currently the Director (Operation) and Chief Engineer of Fortress Holdings Ltd. & Fortress Real Estate Ltd. With his technical acumen and vast experience, he is the epitome of excellence and dependability. He joined the Bangladesh Army in 1986. He did his Bachelor’s in Science from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Civil Engineering in 1999. He did his Master’s in Defence Studies from the Defence Services Command and Staff College in 2001. He’s currently doing his PhD in Environmental Sustainability.

He began his career as a Captain in 1992 with a challenging Demining project in the Gulf War as the Second in Command of an Engineering Demining Company. He played a pivotal role in integrating the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) into the mainstream economy by leading road infrastructure projects. His notable projects include the Bagerhat to Sajek Hilly Road Construction. He was involved in several national-level projects, including the Banani – Airport – Mirpur Multihead Flyover and the Cox’s Bazar Marine Drive. He has made remarkable contributions to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) by constructing numerous Border Observation Posts (BOPs) during his service with the BGB from 2012 to 2015. He supervised the rehabilitation project of Malupara in Jashore following the 2014 parliamentary election. In his second UN Peacekeeping Mission, as Commanding Officer of an Engineering Contingent in Mali, he led several road construction projects and airfield development initiatives in the Sahel region of the Sahara Desert. He also led several construction projects in the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) at Mirpur Cantonment.

He emphasises the significance of sustainability in any project. Any project undertaken today should ideally last for years to come, and during that duration, it must be conducive to ecological balance, rather than tampering with it. Being on par with global standards, he reflects concerns over the environmental impact as well as the durability of any plan, and his work and endeavours reflect the same.

He emphasises the importance of proper allocation of resources in any project. Land is one of the scarcest resources in this densely populated country, and he recognises the deep affiliation and ownership associated with it. His works reflect the best utilisation of available resources, ensuring maximum utility. It is often ignored in the realm of business, but he believes that each construction has deeply ideological and personal incentives. Hence, he incorporates sensitivity in each of his tasks. He recognises the monumental effects a personal construction has, and trudges in a way that maximises the welfare of the individuals involved.

Dr. Mohammed Fazl-E-Akbar Chowdhury, Director

Dr Mohammed Fazl-E-Akbar Chowdhury was born in Chittagong Port in 1967. He completed his MBBS at Chittagong Medical College in 1992 and joined the Malaysian Trade Centre as Deputy Chief. In 1995, he bound for KSA and continued until 2017. He completed his MBA (Health Care Services) from Manipal University, India, in 2009. His tenure of more than two decades in the Arabian Peninsula was primarily spent working in the field of basic human needs, including health and shelter. He is the founder of the UAE-based online hotel booking company City-Booking.com. He is the Director of Chattagram Metropolitan Hospital Ltd. and Cox’s Bazar-based real estate business Annoydhara Properties Ltd.
